Why can't my cryptocurrency payment be refunded? Print

  • 0

In rare circumstances, Hawk Host may be unable to refund your payment made through cryptocurrency. The most common currency impacted by this issue is Bitcoin (BTC), and this is due to the costs associated with network and miner fees on the Bitcoin network. During periods of higher network and miner fees, the cost to refund a Bitcoin payment may exceed the total value of the refund.

We recommend that clients avoid using Bitcoin (BTC) for transactions worth USD $5.00 or less. Other cryptocurrencies (BCH, ETH, XRP, DOGE, etc.) tend to have lower network and miner fees, making it less likely to experience a scenario where the fees exceed the refund value.

Hawk Host assumes no liability for the loss of funds through non-refundable cryptocurrency transactions.
