What does too many FTP connections mean? Print

All of our servers are configured to allow up to 8 simultaneous connections from any IP. If you reach this limit, you will see the following error: "Response: 421 Too many connections (8) from this IP" To resolve this, you should do the following:

1. 1. Login to cPanel for your account.
      
      
   2. Type "FTP Connections" into the top left finder:
      
      
      
      
   3. From the "FTP Connections" interface you will be able to view all currently connected sessions. To end a session, click the "Disconnect" button on the far right under "Actions":
      
      

Performing these steps will allow you to clear up any hung FTP sessions and continue uploading files to your account.
